If I knew then what I know now..

Whilst pregnant I bought so much new stuff for baby.
I'd find out early on I was having a boy so there was no stopping me!
As the first grandchild on both sides, my mum also bought so much.

I had far too many newborn clothes. I washed them during the end if my pregnancy and when H arrived he was 9lb 2oz, so most of the newborn clothes were too small and I couldn't return them as I'd removed the labels on washing.

I bought a really expensive pram, which I rarely use as I drive most places, H falls asleep in carseat, so I attach the carseat to the pram base. It's heavy, bulky and I bought all the accessories I doubt ill use, like a cup holder! I tried to get the tube with it last week and was a nightmare journey as no lifts, we attempted escalators but that was a disaster waiting to happen, so we had to abandon plans and head home.

You can never have enough baby wipes, nappies or baby milk!

Stock up on washing powder etc as you will wash. Alot!  We have no clean clothes currently as I'm forever washing & drying little mans clothes.

Watch as many movies as you can, as you'll not likely watch a whole movie again in some time. (Tonight we attempted to watch American pie reunion, which is hilarious, it took over 4 hours. Little man woke up twice, the dishwasher, washing machine and steriliser were all on the go in the open kitchen/ living room area) so we couldn't hear a thing!

Get as much sleep as you can , everyone said it to me when I was pregnant, now I know why!

Be prepared for lots of people's advice, take it on the chin, for some reason when you have a baby people feel the need to share their opinions, just say thank you ill think about it.

Take lots of pictures, every day,and videos if you can, baby grows so quickly.

Sign up to apps from baby websites with development weeks, it's interesting to know what baby is doing each week.
