LIFE WITH MY NEW BORN
on leaving hospital, i said to my new little man, "welcome to the world", at which point we walked into the hospital carpark and a puff of cigarette smoke was blown in my precious newborns face! {fancy putting a smoking area right outside the exit!]. we walked to the car with H in his car seat and a spider fell on him. i cried...
When we arrived home to family members waiting on the doorsetp, they were all overexited to meet little man, but being totally exhausted, having to introduce this new member of the family to my beloved dogs, my house was a tip from the labour, H was crying to be fed and nappy changed, and the crib (which had been in the box since 5 months pregnant) still needed to put up!!! we got to sleep at 2am.
The first week went by in a adrenaline fueled blur. Everything was new to me, from changing the nappies (which were being soaked as a i didnt know a boys willy had to be facing down!), to breastfeeding and the endless visitors.
we had a prebooked Photoshoot booked in on day 8 which really bonded us together
as a family. I'm so glad we did this, he was 8 days old, and we have so many precious photos & memories to cherish. They grow so fast, so it's nice to have these. We used NIC T PHOTOGRAPHY (based in Bexley, kent) and she is fantastic!!
